We’re delighted to have received the announcement that Bedfordshire rock festival Fort Fest will be back on the calendar again for 2017. The festival will be back at Scald End Farm in Thurleigh, near Bedford, between 4-6 August next year.
The 2016 was a great showcase of some awesome bands, with the likes of Arcane Roots, InMe, Lonely The Brave, Max Raptor, Eva Plays Dead, Liberty Lies, Press To Meco and Young Guns all playing over the three days. Check out last year’s full line-up here.
We’re expecting announcements of next year’s line-up in the next few weeks, and we’ll let you know when we hear more from the event.
In announcing the festival’s return, the organisers said: “We’ve had tremendous feedback from fans, bands and the music press. Admittedly, numbers were considerably lower than we had hoped for (the weather didn’t help), but we still wanted to ensure that we put on a high quality, affordable festival that would live long in the memory. We think we achieved that.
“We would again like to thank all the fans, bands, traders and press for supporting Fort Fest. We have been overwhelmed with the positive response to our first festival so it’s happening again 4-6 August 2017. We can’t wait!”
We can’t wait either. Fort Fest is a great little rock festival that promotes new up-and-coming bands, and you can see a whole host of awesome bands for less than £50. How often can you say that?
Also, if you fancy the chance of playing alongside some awesome bands then you can apply to do exactly that. The festival takes applications from bands, and this process opens up in the New Year. Keep an eye out here for more info.
Super Early Bird tickets for Fort Fest are available now here. A full weekend ticket costs just £45, including camping and car parking.
