Pop Punk Pile-Up Festival makes its UK debut in April

There’s a brand new festival on the scene this Spring Pop Punk Pile-Up Festival makes its debut in Selby, in North Yorkshire, between 27 to 29 April. But don’t let the name deceive you, there’ll be a wide range of genres on stage, from metal and alternative rock through to punk and, of course, pop-punk.

There’s some great bands on the list, including the mighty Blood Youth, our former New Band of the Week in Hereford’s Hide Your Eyes, a few bands we introduced you to in Miami Monroe, Shaded and Millie Manders and the Shutup, as well as the awesome Grumble Bee – who we’ll be speaking with very shortly on the site.

The line-up of an impressive 45 bands is fronted up by the likes of the brilliant Max Raptor, The King Blues, Altered Sky, Room 94 and The Bottom Line, with one more yet to be announced headliner.PPP

The event sees organisers Riff Media branch out into the festival circuit for the first time, having run successful events all over the country for a decade. It also follows a big 2017 for the company, with a huge growth in popularity of their events and the addition of a wealth of contacts that has led to the festival project.

Adam Ruane, Pop Punk Pile-Up Festival and Riff Media Director, said: “Running events has been something we have done for 10 years and now we feel the time is right to show the world we can go that step further and host a huge event like a festival. We have opted to use the venue that we grew in. Music is a long held passion and this is a step forward for us. We are hoping to achieve success in our first year to help us develop and grow the festival!”

Tickets cost just £25 for a day and £40 for the weekend, and some of their profits will be going to worthy causes such as the homeless charities Carecent and Mission Trinity. This is in line with Riff Media’s aim to use music as a way of helping society and those less fortunate.

Pop Punk Pile-Up Festival is set to be the next big event to hit the UK, so buy a ticket and get yourself along to this feast of all things metal, rock and pop-punk. Tickets are available now here.
