Eindhoven band Another Now have honed a thrilling metalcore sound that’s laced with violent guitars and unrelenting rhythms, alongside tech metal influences, electronic noises and plenty of intense shredding. And they’re yet another band to add to the list of exciting new Dutch metal bands.
Dutch rockers Phrasing began life as a cover band playing everything from Metallica and Queen through to Britney Spears and Spice Girls. Thankfully, they got the last two out of their system and branched out into writing their own original material in late 2018.
If you’ve never listened to any Dutch metal bands before then Nijmegen five-piece Vain Louie is one hell of a place to get started. They offer up a thrilling melodic hardcore sound that’s seriously heavy, hugely energetic and curiously catchy.
One good thing about the huge amount of spare time we suddenly have on our hands is the opportunity to get really stuck into some of the amazing new bands we discover. And in fascinating Dutch alternative rock/metal band AtFirst we’ve found one that demands huge amounts of your time.
We’ve got another helping of Dutch metal today in the form of Shuulak, who fuse old school metal with elements of a more modern sound – which they describe as “modern heavy metal.”
The compelling sound of Dutch rockers Mountain Eye is borne out of their riff-heavy hard rock roots being infused with elements of alternative, funk and jazz.
