UPDATED! Happy #NewMusicFriday! Prepare to fill your ears with an international feast of new rock, metal, deathcore and more with the latest update to our #FreshTunes #spotifyplaylist🎶 . This week's update includes new tracks from bands in Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Sweden, the UK, the US and Vietnam.
Introducing: Finnish rockers Highway Queen fuse classic rock and modern influences in a catchy, engaging sound. We checked out their latest single Hellfire and chatted to guitarist Teemu Kääriäinen to find out more about the band.
Introducing: Brutal yet melancholic metal from German newcomers @defocus.band. The Aalen quartet offer up deliciously low-tuned guitars, searing synths, ambient melodies, and intense rhythms in their thrilling, immersive sound. We took a listen to the band's debut single Common Grave, which was released last month, and had a chat with them to look ahead to their debut album, which is out in July, and find out more about them.
Introducing: Catchy punk rock fuelled by "kick-ass bass lines" from North Carolina duo @camelcityblackouts. We took a listen to the duo's latest singles, Another Night and Angels, and had a chat with them to find out more.
#NewBandoftheWeek: Exciting Lancashire newcomers @cannulauk fuse elements of hardcore in an intense sound they believe brings us something we're not used to hearing from British metalcore. Expect huge riffs and breakdowns, intense vocals and intriguing lyrics in the band's exceptional hard-hitting sound. We took a listen to Cannula's first two singles, Fragmentation of a Soothed Soul and Soliloquy of What Will Be, and chatted to the band to find out more.
