Introducing: From composing music for Norwegian films and TV shows to a brand new, exciting blackened metal solo project @illtofficial. ILLT is the work of Oslo-based Roy Westad, who's worked with a team of leading session musicians to create a raw, melodic and modern sound honing elements of death metal, thrash, doom and anything blackened. We checked out debut single Scythian King and had a chat with Roy to find out more about the project.

#NewBandoftheWeek: The sweet but gritty "Gutter Candy Metal" sound of Bristol five-piece @kitethiefuk. We took a listen to the band's brand new single Sweepstake, which was released on Friday, and a couple of their previous releases to get a feel for their catchy but vicious alt-rock meets prog metal sound. And we had a chat with bassist Henry Stone to discover their backstory, musical influences, and preferred breakfast spread.

Introducing: Finnish solo artist @rioghandarcy, who's honed a delicious rock sound with gothic and progressive metal influences. We took a listen to her excellent single Enough and had a chat with Rioghan to find out more about her music, going solo, and her upcoming EP, Blackened Sky, which is out on 10 March.

Introducing: Our first-ever Indian band in diverse dark synth rock outfit @arogya.tv. The band have a first English language album coming in April, from which we took a listen to their superb latest single Broken. We had a chat with the band to find out more about them, the creation of their new album, Indian rock and the concept of ‘avant-garde Nepali arena rock,' and their future plans.

Introducing: The Best New Band in the World - and that's not our claim, it's the result of Ukrainian trio @sinoptikband winning the Global Battle of the Bands contest in Berlin a few years ago. We discovered why such a moniker has been placed on the band, who fuse elements of progressive, stoner and psychedelic rock, by checking out their latest single Apple Tree and the very cool From Nothing To Forever. And we had a chat with the trio, who are the first Ukrainian band we've featured on the site, to find out more.
