French band Lies We Sold have crafted a diverse metalcore sound that packs a punch yet also delivers engaging melodies, and which they describe as “powerful, melodic, and melancholic.”

Introducing: Lomor

Over the years, we’ve taken delight in covering bands from all over the world. But I don’t think I ever thought we’d be bringing you a thrash band from the Indian Ocean. Yet that’s exactly what we’re doing with the exciting old-school sound of Lomor, who hail from Réunion Island, a French overseas department near Madagascar and Mauritius.

Introducing: Ice Chemicals

Our third French band in a week sees us discover the alternative metal sound of Ice Chemicals. The Parisian collective have honed a style that plays with elements of metalcore, melodeath and neo metal and utilises dual male and female vocals.

Introducing: The Dead Krazukies

French band The Dead Krazukies offer up a hugely enjoyable nod to 90s skate punk with metal and hardcore edges that they summarise as “energetic, dramatic and catchy” – and definitely not emo.

Introducing: Depressive Witches

If there was one genre of music you never thought you’d be jigging along to in delight, black metal would probably be pretty high on the list. But prepare to change all that thanks to French duo Depressive Witches.
